My personal story of overcoming
My story is a real story of overcoming and what it entails, sacrifice, pain, loss, acceptance, waiting, despair... but also courage, capacity, confidence, learning, balance and well-being. Hello, I am Yolanda, like you, life has been testing me from an early age, and what I have lived and learned has led me to be who I am today, someone with numerous tools tested on myself and with positive results, which I can make available to you if you decide to embark on this path with me. I invite you to learn some details of my life, and thus understand in my own words why I can be your guide so that together we can find your instruction manual.

I had a childhood marked by fears towards my father and threats, in which I was part of the circle of toxic relationships between my parents, where the man subjected the woman to his own will. This led me to develop patterns of toxic behaviors in my relationships that took me years to detect and overcome.
The first great test of fire I experienced at 14 years old, when, in addition to suffering the death of my father, I survived a motorcycle accident that left me incapacitated in bed for months and with a devastating prognosis of being in a wheelchair forever.

The Awakening
Already at that age I convinced myself that I was not going to collapse, and despite the numerous fractures in the spine and a corset that covered half my body, I recovered with endless hours of rehabilitation, persistent mental work and the unconditional help of my mother.
With the panorama lived during my adolescence, my University years were no less complicated. I suffered episodes of depression and panic attacks, I suffered from bulimia, and due to my low self-esteem I had a great desire to disappear definitively. I still shudder to remember some situations lived in which I realized the power of the mind when it is not your friend. Specifically, one day I was looking at myself in the mirror and although I knew that what I saw was a slender body, physically strong and beautiful, my mind sold it to me as something ugly, undesirable, and I got scared.
That day I woke up, something was not right, and I started working on myself.
Learning
I have learned that health is closely linked to your emotions, and to me, as to some of you, it took its toll on me twice in my life.
A first time during my last year of work in a position of great responsibility. I somatized stress in such a way that I developed Bell's palsy. The left side of my face and shoulder were paralyzed, my mouth sagged and I had problems with the vision of my left eye. This made me take action, so I decided to deliver my voluntary resignation letter and shortly after I created my first Pilates and rehabilitation space.
A second time, when I thought I had healed everything, an autoimmune disease came to me unexpectedly. I was referred to a rheumatologist who did not know what box to put me in, whether in Lupus or Fibromyalgia. After numerous visits to the hospital and following very strong medication that did not help me at all, one day I decided to stop and reconsider everything that was happening. That day I remember that everything was overwhelming me, my hands hurt, I could not drive, it was hard for me even to walk... I could not believe it. With all the personal work I had done, I kept asking myself: how can I find myself in this situation? It was desperate. I allowed myself to cry, to fall to the bottom, to free myself. I stopped, took a deep breath and said out loud: "I DO NOT HAVE THIS DISEASE, I DO NOT ACCEPT IT AS MINE".
I took measures such as improving my diet even more, natural therapies and a lot of self-hypnosis with work at the cellular level, and to this day, that autoimmune disease is part of my past and also part of my great personal growth.
Gratitude
On my path I have realized that you have to love and value BEING here. I have two wonderful children and a husband who is my best friend, partner, lover and sometimes, because not everything is a bed of roses, my worst headache. Specifically, my experiences as a mother, especially my second time, have been another stage of my life drawn to bring out my tools, apply them correctly and overcome myself once again.
My first pregnancy was relatively good. At that time I was in Dublin running my own Pilates and rehabilitation studio. In the last weeks of gestation I developed pre-eclampsia, and at 41 weeks and due to a bad induction of labor in the hospital, they had to perform an emergency cesarean section to save the baby and me.

With my first child in my arms I forgot the terrible episode experienced of pain, uncertainty and fatigue. I thought I was going to die because they broke my membrane abruptly and without warning... you can imagine what the return home was like and what a recovery with a baby in my care entailed. Anemia, damage to kidneys and liver, changes in vision and a lot of accumulated fatigue. My baby gave me a lot of strength and an important reason: I had to fight for both of us. 6 months later I was already recovered physically and mentally to return to my work at the clinic.

My second pregnancy was very different from the beginning. At 8 weeks of gestation I began with dizziness, vomiting and pain that led me to close my business. I could not walk, drive or play sports and I developed two thrombophlebitis for which I was hospitalized urgently. In the second hospitalization they advised me to stay the rest of the pregnancy in the hospital so that they could inject me with heparin every day and bring the pregnancy to a good end, but at that time I could not face staying hospitalized for so long, I knew that I would fall into a terrible depression. The solution, because I looked for it, was to learn to inject myself with heparin, which is not an easy task and carries its risks, and so be able to go home. The doctor agreed and sent me a nurse who taught me how to do it.
At 36 weeks of gestation, already overcome by the pain and dizziness and on the verge of collapse because I could barely move, I begged my gynecologist to perform a cesarean section, and so it was done at week 37, relieving my suffering. My daughter today is a healthy and happy girl, and I have gone through 3 years of physical and emotional recovery that is part of my personal growth.
On this great journey of my life I have shown myself to be strong, brave and with great desire for self-improvement. Sometimes I have felt tested, on a tightrope, as if they were preparing me to do my job better, with knowledge of the cause and first-hand experience. Today I continue to pass tests, which is to be expected, but now I see them coming, I anticipate and overcome those obstacles with more lightness, demonstrating to myself that if I want, I can.
I currently feel highly qualified to advise you on your health, your physique and the management of your emotions, to build a full life at all levels and help you achieve your personal goals. My specialization in the human mind and its behaviors have given me the ideal tools to perform quality work, which brings me great inner peace knowing that what I have gone through serves to help others achieve that balance.
"I know the way"
